Men of Faith: The Three Wise Men

"And so they left, and on their way, they saw the same star they had seen in the east.
When they saw it, how happy they were, what joy was theirs! "
-Matthew 2:9-10 TEV-

We prepare. We leave. We embark on a journey.

As we go on our journey, we outline our purpose. We draw our goal. Just like the three wise men, they set on a journey to Bethlehem when they've heard the news about the birth of The Messiah - Jesus Christ. They want to praise Him and bring gifts to Him.

But sometimes on our journey, some people and some circumstances come in the middle. They come to steal our aspirations; to destroy the purpose of our journey.

Just like King Herod. He told the three wise men: "Go and make a careful search for the child; and when you find him, let me know, so that I too may go and worship him."(v8)
But he has other motives.

There are King Herods on our journey. They elude us with their selfish motives. They fancy their desire for us to succeed but in the end, they want to reap the prize.

The star guided the three wise men because they focused their attention to it until they reached the place where Jesus was.

On our journey, we should fix our eyes to the star- our ultimate guide- Jesus Christ. We should not let other people take control of our path and divert our attention until we achieve the true purpose of our journey.
