Nursing: Service Above Self

Being a Nurse (especially overseas) is not all about money.

It is a great opportunity
to enhance your skills according to international standards and
to continuously feed your knowledge-seeking brain system
in order to safely, efficiently and effectively serve the patients that are entrusted to your hands; and
to meet diverse people and learn new cultures and traditions.

Yes, along the way,
you become a better person.
But still, that betterment is not for your self-benefit but for others.
You strive to be the best representative of your profession, a valuable part of the health care system and an advocate of your patients’ well-being.
And best of all,
You make sure that your service reflects how the world sees the Nurses from your country.

And when you really get that big sum of money that most people think you really get even not at all,
still those money are not for you alone but for your family.

Indeed,
Nursing is not about you and
not about how much you earn and
what you get.
It’s a service above self.
